There are several historical landmarks in Groton, including the First Parish Church, which was built in 1755 and acted as home base to the Groton Minutemen during the Revolutionary War. The Boutwell House was built in 1851 and now stands as the Groton Historical Society Museum for residents and tourists alike to visit and learn more about Groton’s established history.
